I did make a trip up to Spain to see a neurologist there, just to get a second opinion and make sure there was nothing else that might have caused the paralysis. He was much more thorough, and ordered an MRI of my head, and whole round of blood tests, which all came back normal, thankfully! This is a personal journal of my Bell's Palsy journey. I just needed a place where I could track my recovery, but if any of it proves to be helpful to others, I am grateful. There are many other more serious causes of facial paralysis, which must be ruled out by a physician. Early treatment may lessen the severity of symptoms and aid in faster recovery.
